Privacy Policy

Effective September 24, 2026

Exotic Watersport Rentals LLC ("Exotic Watersport," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit bookexoticwatersport.com, make a reservation, or rent from us.

1. Scope

Exotic Watersport Rentals LLC, 900 N Ocean Dr. Hollywood FL 33019. Telephone +1 (786) 905-4455.

This policy applies to bookexoticwatersport.com and to the JetCar rentals and related services reserved through it. It does not apply to any third-party website you may reach by following a link from ours.

By using this site or our services, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

Reservation information: your name, email address, telephone number where provided, a mailing address where you provide one, and the date, time, service, and party size selected.

Rental and safety information: the operator’s date of birth, and the date of birth of each participant where provided; your signature on the participant waiver, the vessel rental agreement, and the deep-water safety acknowledgment; a government-issued identification document where one is provided; and, where a booking includes a minor, the name, telephone number, date of birth, and signature of the parent or legal guardian.

Emergency contact information: at check-in we ask for the name, telephone number, and relationship of a person to contact in an emergency. This information is about a third party, is collected from you for safety purposes only, and is used only in the event of an emergency during your rental.

Payment information: card payments are completed through a secure form provided by our payment processor. The card details are handled by the processor, whether that form appears within this site or on the processor’s own page, and we do not receive or store full card numbers. We retain the card brand, the last four digits, and a payment reference for reconciliation and refunds.

Information collected automatically: your IP address and browser user-agent. These are used for advertising measurement, to limit abuse of the site, and, where you opt in to text messages, as part of the record of that consent.

3. How We Use Your Information

To take, confirm, and fulfil your reservation, and to communicate with you about it.

To meet record-keeping obligations arising under Florida boating regulations and our insurance requirements.

To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorised use of the site.

To measure the effectiveness of our advertising.

We do not build advertising profiles about you, and we do not carry out automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

4. Identification Documents

Where you choose the optional “Scan ID to auto-fill” feature at check-in, the image is transmitted once to a third-party artificial-intelligence service provider for the sole purpose of extracting the printed details, and is not retained afterwards. Entering your details manually is always available as an alternative.

Where an identification document is retained with your booking record, the image and any details taken from it are encrypted at rest and are accessed only where necessary, such as in connection with a damage or injury claim. We do not keep identification images indefinitely: the image is automatically deleted after the retention period described in “Data Retention” below, and only the minimal details needed for our records are kept after that.

5. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share your information with:

Payment Processors: secure third-party payment services that process your transaction, issue refunds, and handle chargebacks. Card details are entered directly into the processor’s own secure form and are not stored on our systems.

Service Providers: third-party vendors who assist with website and database hosting, email and text-message delivery, image delivery, and customer service, subject to confidentiality agreements.

Artificial-Intelligence Service Providers: where you use the optional “Scan ID to auto-fill” feature, or the assistant on this website, the image or the text you submit is transmitted to a third-party provider for the sole purpose of returning a result, and is not retained afterwards.

Advertising Partners: Meta Platforms, for measurement and improvement of our advertising. When a reservation is booked and paid for on this website, we send Meta a server-to-server report of that completed purchase. That report includes your email address and, where held, your name and telephone number, in irreversibly hashed (SHA-256) form so that Meta can match the purchase to an advertisement without receiving a readable email or phone number from us. Where you have also consented to advertising cookies, the report additionally includes the associated advertising identifier, IP address, and user-agent, which are not hashed. Meta may use this information both to measure our advertising and to improve the delivery and targeting of advertising, which California law treats as “sharing” for cross-context behavioural advertising. You can opt out of this sharing at any time — see “Your Privacy Rights and Choices” below. When you opt out, or send a Global Privacy Control signal, we instruct Meta to handle any purchase report for you in a limited, measurement-only mode and we do not send the advertising identifier, IP address, or user-agent.

Insurance Providers: to process claims or to provide required coverage for rental activities.

Legal and Regulatory Authorities: when required by law, court order, or government request, including requests from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, or to protect our legal rights and safety.

Business Transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or bankruptcy, your information may be transferred to a successor entity, which will remain bound by this policy.

Other than the advertising measurement and improvement described above under “Advertising Partners,” which you can opt out of, we do not sell your personal information and we do not provide it to any third party for that party’s own marketing purposes.

6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Essential cookies are necessary for the site to function and are always active. They retain your language selection, maintain your basket, and keep staff and dock-kiosk sessions signed in.

Advertising cookies are set by the Meta advertising tools described above and allow us to measure whether an advertisement led to a reservation. They do not run until you provide consent through the cookie banner, and are not set if you decline.

You may change your choice at any time using “Cookie settings” in the footer of any page. Withdrawing consent prevents further advertising cookies from being set; it does not affect information already transmitted. Your preference is stored in your browser and applies to that device only.

Information you enter when making a reservation may also be stored in your browser so that forms can be completed more quickly on a subsequent visit. If you are using a shared or public device, you should clear your browser data after use.

Global Privacy Control: this site recognises the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. When your browser or a browser extension sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of advertising cookies and of the advertising sharing described above — the advertising pixel does not run, and any purchase report to Meta is handled in a limited, measurement-only mode. Because a GPC signal is tied to the browser sending it, this applies to that browser and device.

Do Not Track: separately from GPC, this site does not respond to the older “Do Not Track” browser signal, as no common standard for it has been adopted.

7. Text Messages

Where you select the optional SMS box when booking, we record that selection, the wording displayed alongside it, the date and time, and the originating IP address, as evidence of your consent.

Your mobile number and your consent to receive text messages are not sold, rented, or shared with any third party for that third party’s own marketing or lead-generation purposes. They are shared only with the messaging provider that delivers the message to you.

You may withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP to any message, or by calling +1 (786) 905-4455.

The SMS box is never pre-selected, and you may book, pay, and ride without it.

8. Data Security

We maintain reasonable technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the information we hold. Identification documents and the details taken from them are encrypted at rest; access to booking and customer records requires staff authentication; and the dock kiosk is separately paired.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Data Retention

Reservation, waiver, and payment records are retained for as long as necessary for accounting, insurance, and the defence of legal claims. In practice this is a period of several years, as a claim may be brought long after a rental has taken place.

Identification documents are treated more strictly than other records. The image of an identification document is automatically deleted within twelve (12) months of the related rental, unless it is connected to an open damage, injury, or insurance claim, in which case it is kept only for as long as that claim requires. After the image is deleted we keep only the minimal details needed for our records, such as the name and date of birth used for the booking. The full identification number is not kept long-term.

Where you request deletion and we are not required to retain the information, we will action your request.

10. Children’s Privacy

This site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from a child browsing independently. Minors may participate only under a reservation made by an adult, with a parent or legal guardian aged 21 or over signing the waiver and the deep-water acknowledgment on their behalf. The contracting party is always the adult.

11. Your Privacy Rights and Choices

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, request that it be corrected, or request that it be deleted where we are not required to retain it.

You may opt out of the advertising sharing described above (“Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information”) at any time, using the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” and “Cookie settings” links in the footer of any page, or by sending a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser. Opting out prevents further advertising cookies and puts any purchase report to Meta into a limited, measurement-only mode; it does not undo information already transmitted.

You may decline text messages, or withdraw consent later, without any effect on your reservation.

To exercise the access, correction, or deletion rights, call +1 (786) 905-4455 or email the address shown on your booking confirmation. We will acknowledge your request within ten (10) business days and respond within forty-five (45) days, and we may extend that period once, by up to a further forty-five (45) days, where reasonably necessary and permitted by law, in which case we will tell you.

12. California Residents

California residents have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act. We extend these rights to any individual who asks, regardless of residence.

These include the right to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected; the right to obtain a copy; the right to request correction; and the right to request deletion, subject to information we are required to retain, such as a signed waiver.

We do not sell personal information for money. We do share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, as that term is defined under that Act: specifically, the server-to-server purchase report to Meta described above under “Advertising Partners.” You have the right to opt out of that sharing, and we honour the Global Privacy Control signal as a valid opt-out request. To opt out, use the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link in the footer of any page, or send a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser. We do not knowingly share for cross-context behavioural advertising the personal information of a consumer we know to be under 16.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. Requests may be made by calling +1 (786) 905-4455 or emailing the address shown on your booking confirmation. We will acknowledge your request within ten (10) business days and respond within forty-five (45) days, extendable once by up to a further forty-five (45) days where reasonably necessary, in which case we will tell you.

13. International Visitors

We are a Florida business and our systems are hosted in the United States. If you book from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States under United States law.

14. Third-Party Links

This site contains links to third-party websites, including social media platforms, the state boating-safety course, and our payment processor. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites, and we encourage you to review their policies.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Where a change materially affects how we handle your information, we will update this page and the effective date shown at the top of it.
